The Gala, previously held in March of 2011, helps to
raise both funds and awareness for Teaneck’s Volunteer
Ambulance Corps. The event will include food,
entertainment, and raffle prizes.
The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps, which is the sole
provider of ambulance service in the township, functions
as a 100% volunteer organization. TVAC runs
24/7, operating solely on donations. The corps’ active
membership, totaling over 100, responds to over 4,000
emergency calls annually without receiving any benefits
or allowances in return.
Donated funds mainly come from the township’s residents,
but unfortunate economic woes have contributed to
declining contributions over the last several years. A
portion of the proceeds for the Gala’s admission price
and all proceeds for the raffle prizes will be directly
donated to the non-profit ambulance corps.
Admission and raffle tickets for the Gala will be sold
in advance. Admission will be $75.00 per person, and
$650.00 for a table of 10. Raffle tickets will be $10
each, or three tickets for $25.
