Walter Pinches EMS Leadership
Award
|
"A man's learning,
experiences, and wisdom need not die with him,
but may live forever if recorded as his legacy."
|
|
Walter Pinches was Life Member who responded to over 3,000
calls during his time with TVAC. He was known as an
innovator, not only of ambulances, but of good common and
uncommon sense, policy and procedures. This identifying
characteristic developed within Walter after completing a
variety of courses, considered "off the beaten path", in
order to bring fresh ideas and perspective to TVAC.
The intent of
the Walter Pinches EMS Leadership Award is to honor a TVAC
member who has not only has proven to have a spark of talent
for leadership, but also seeks out and imparts fresh ways of
thinking to TVAC. It is with Walter's innovative spirit that
the award itself is given in scholarship form, providing the
award recipient with funding to enroll in advanced EMS and/or
EMS related leadership training. The recipient will
also have his/her name added to a plaque hung at
headquarters, recognizing the distinguished TVAC leaders who
have been selected to receive this award.
